Australasia Extracellular Vesicles Conference 2020February 12 - 14, 2020 Auckland, New Zeland

Australasian Extracellular Vesicles 2020 Conference

Worldwide, there has been a surge of interest in extracellular vesicle and cell communication research over the past several years. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nanoparticles (including exosomes, microvesicles, microparticles), released by cells, that contain proteins, genetic material and lipids and thereby appeal to a very broad range of research interests. This field will play an increasingly important role in much scientific research and it is the committee’s pleasure to invite you to be part of this exciting international meeting.

Australasian Extracellular Vesicles (AEV) 2020 will focus on “Innovation in EV Biology” and will bring together world-leading experts and the next generation of early career scientists to promote the latest developments in the field of EVs. AEV 2020 will both celebrate what has been achieved and look forward to future advances and discoveries that will further impact the field of EVs, human health and disease, cell and molecular biology, and technology. This will be achieved by a balanced scientific program that will have clearly defined topics that focus on state-of-the-art methodological developments and their applications in EV biology. This year, we hold the meeting in New Zealand, with the meeting to feature keynote and invited speakers with plenty of opportunities for talks from submitted abstracts. The social program will focus on facilitating collegial interactions in both informal and formal settings, including a major focus on students and early career researchers. In this capacity, we will continue our strength in student and early-career researcher development, with opportunities to be involved in the program, interact with fellow colleagues and leading researchers, to focus on key developments in the field.

Topics covered at the meeting will examine aspects of EV research ranging from the cell biology surrounding their biogenesis, to their functional roles in inter-cellular communication, physiology and pathology and advances in diagnostics and therapeutics. Selected topics will include:

  • Physiological insights and roles of EVs
  • Biogenesis and Intercellular Communication
  • EVs: Heterogeneity, Isolation, Purification and Characterisation
  • Understanding the composition of EVs
  • Fungal and Parasite-host interactions
  • Regenerative medicine & EVs
  • Diagnostic Therapeutic Development
  • Extracellular Nucleic Acids (lnc, nc)
